about the Artist

As a son of a steelworker it was during my childhood, in my dad’s small workshop, where I initially came into contact with steel and smelled welding fumes for the first time. Fascinated by the boundless possibilities provided by this strong and true material, the experience sparked my creative spirit...

Over the years I had experimented with different styles of art and I had quickly discovered my affection for expressionism. Strongly influenced by the expressionistic masterpieces, I step by step developed my very own style of expression..... by means of steel!

Anxious to perfect my abilities to realize my ideas, over the years I followed numerous technical and artistic courses, here in Luxembourg, in Germany and at the University of the Arts "Central Saint Martins" in London.

Always having been captivated by the metallurgy of steel since my childhood, I shared the same fascination for the extraordinary performances of old time strongmen and especially the phenomenal shows of strength by Georges Christen, holder of multiple records in the “Guinness Book of Records”. During the occasions of our numerous meetings at his "Powershow", the foundation of our close friendship was laid and the idea of our artistic cooperation was born.

My joint projects with Georges Christen, those that can be recognized by the logo "Christen & Klein Sculptures - vun Hand gebéit" (bent by hand), as well as my solo projects are regularly displayed at exhibitions. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you are looking for a bespoke sculpture as for almost any occasion there is a "steely expression" !
